AeroPress Paper Microfilters (350 count)
AeroPress accessory · $8 · budget tier
Overview
The AeroPress Paper Microfilters are the OEM filters Alan Adler designed the AeroPress around, and there is essentially no reason to buy anything else. At under $10 for 350 filters, the per-cup cost is roughly $0.025 — too cheap to bother sourcing generic alternatives, and generic alternatives often have looser fit tolerances that let fine grounds bypass the filter into the cup.
The 350-count pack is the home-user value SKU. For one drink a day, this is roughly a year of supply; for two drinks, six months. The filters are chlorine-free bleached — modern oxygen-bleaching process, not the chlorine process older blog posts warn about — and produce a neutral cup without the woody paper note that unbleached filters carry until properly rinsed. Most AeroPress recipes (Hoffmann standard, Kasuya championship, inverted methods) do not require a pre-wet rinse with these filters; a quick rinse is optional, not required.
Sizing note: these are the 2.5-inch Original-size filters. They fit AeroPress Original, AeroPress Clear, AeroPress Go, Go Plus, and Premium — but not the larger AeroPress XL, which needs the 3.0-inch XL filters. Check the brewer before ordering. For everything else AeroPress-shaped, this is the right filter pack.
